22/45 MKIII Competition Grips?

Hey guys, I recently joined a bullseye club and tonight I went to my first league match. I'm using my 22/45 and alot of other club members mentioned that I should really get a competition grip for it. I see there are tons of options for the standard MKIII but not much out there for the 22/45. Can I just get a set for a 1911 and use them on the 22/45? Any help would be appreciated.

Those are nice but, most of the bullseye guys have grips that look more like this:

I'd like them for my 22/45 Target too but they don't make them. I'm wondering if I can get something for a 1911 and make it fit.

Does your 22/45 have replaceable grips? Some models do while others are not replaceable.

Yes, my 22/45 has replaceable grips, I specifically sought one out because I have big hands and the molded grip is too narrow.

I know as a fact regular grips for a full size 1911 WILL fit on a 22.45 replaceable grip model. However I cannot assure you that wrap around grips such as the ones you posted a pic of will.

My grips came today. I ended up getting the Majestic Arms cocobolo target grips that MolanLabe provided a link to in post #2. I also added Pierce rubber finger grips to thicken it up a little. Feels pretty good now. Gonna head over to the club tomorrow morning to try it out. My red dot will be here this weekend.

Thanks for all the responses.
