Ruger MK III Grips?

Hi!

Just bought my first 22 pistol, A Ruger MK III.
Bur I need some help. Looking for replacement grips like the Altamont grips with fingergrooves and thumbrest.
My problem is that i live in Sweden. Hard gunlaws and few dealers.
I have search the internet for grips but so far I havenīt found any dealer that will ship to Sweden/EU.
So my question is there anybody that can point me in the right direction where to buy this grips?

Best Regards!
/Robert, Sweden

Got my reply from Altamont, no shipping outside US.
Also checked with Stinger Paintball Designs, they do 1911 kind of grips. I have a MK III model but not the 22/45.
Anymore tips where to look?

Try this, Robert. Click on each picture and it will open up and give you more information on the grips or other options. Good luck in your search.

Rope1978, Just a thought .... can you find MK II grips locally? If so, they will fit a MK III with one very minor modification. The left panel has to be relieved just a tad in back of the magazine release. A few seconds with a round file will do it.

I have a Mark 111 target with the black grips and I bought the rosewood grips with thumb rest for it. I use that gun for Bullseye. Yiogo

I'm guessing there aren't any European gun forums to turn to for information.

Also, gun laws can be rather strange. The importation of gun parts might be prohibited.

If importation is legal then there is the possibility of a third party purchasing the grips here and shipping them to you.

What about custom made grips? There are many talented gun makers in Europe. Perhaps one would be willing to make a set of custom grips for you.
