Very nice grips! I am thinking about adding some to my SR1911. Question, Do you carry the gun? If so, how do the grips feel when holstered, as in, do they rub on your skin?
Been researching them for awhile now. But I just installed them today, and haven't used them in any fashion yet. Seems most don't have issues with these tho. They don't feel 'that' much rougher then the oems to me. But some do with the more aggressive styles like the Aliens. I have some of those coming for the Officers model 1911, so I guess I'll find out. Having said that, all one has to do is run some fine grit sand paper with a block of wood over them a few times and that takes the edge off of'm. Thats what VZ recommends if its needed.
Also got the VZ Elite Tactical Carrys for my little Colt Mustang Pocketlite .380.
Went to the range today and put about 50 rounds thru it. Along with the addition of the stick-on gritty front strap(also from VZ), the pistol has been transformed. Feels like a diff gun. Better feel and control. More locked in with these grips and gritty front strap. That's exactly what i was looking for.. Function first and foremost. The fact they look better in my mind, as well as making it more "my gun" with the grip swap is all a plus also.
