Extra mags and holster for SR45?

I have a Ruger SR45 on the way - hopefully I will receive it by next Friday. As is the usual case, finding a third or fourth magazine isn't going to happen at this time. I suppose being so new a model and the huge demand on Ruger, magazines will have to wait. I checked the site on shopruger.net - nothing yet. Also, who has a holster for the SR45? I tend to lean toward the Blackhawk Serpa models, as I've found nothing in a retention holster that works as quickly. Right now, I have a Safariland level 2 holster that fits an FNH-45 - and believe it or not, my Beretta PX4 in .45 fits virtually like it was made for it. Would the SR 45 also fit in the FNH-45 holster? I'd prefer to use one specifically designed for it, but so far I haven't run across such a duty holster.

Forget extra magazines for a while. Sucks, though. I normally own at least 5 for my days at the range. Holster wise, any SR 9/40 holster seems to fit my SR45. Ruger lists this on their web site under holster compatibility. The SR9c/40c holsters fit, but are a bit short to cover the muzzle. I carry it in my SR9c's hybrid holster with no issues. Upgrade parts wise, Gallaway makes a stainless guide rod, spring kits, stainless loaded indicator, loaded flag delete, stainless ejector pivot, grip overlays and the sell Ghost trigger reset bars.

I did the stainless guide rod, springs kit, stainless loaded indicator, stainless ejector pivot and the Ghost Ultimate trigger reset bar. Although I run this same setup in my SR9c and love it, I will admit that without the heavy striker spring (installed on my SR9c, but not the SR45), the trigger is a bit touchy. It requires some getting use to.

I hope you enjoy your SR45 and if you come across any other upgrades out there, let us know.

I tried to fit my SR 45 into my Blackhawk CQC holster for my SR 9 and it didn't fit. I also emailed Blackhawk about an alternative for the SR45 and they said that there were no Serpa holsters that would fit the 45. That's real unfortunate because I really like that style of holster.

Blackhawk Serpa Holster

I traded my SR40 for the SR45 with the idea that the SR40 Holsters would fit. The Blackhawk holster doe snot fit the SR45 although it fit my SR40 fine. Same swidth gun but soemhtign in the extra length makes it not fit into the holster jsut right wont click in. Too bad too as I love the Blackhawk holster, I was told the Springfield XD holsters would fit.

Hello there, I just got an SR45 and was also wanting a Blackhawk Serpa holster for it and reading this bums me out. Did any of y'all find a holster similar to the BH Serpa to fit the SR45? Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Someone told me the size 13 would work which is the S&W M&P and I think Glock 21 size but I don't want to go buy one before knowing for sure.

Shopruger.com now has plenty of holsters for the SR45, I would suggest checking that site and getting one of those, but I have noticed others spread out online. Worth checking again if you havent anytime recently.

SR45 Blackhawk Holster

I have the Blackhawk holster for the SR40 and the SR45 will fit into it very well if you will take a look inside the holster there is a raised area down by the where the muzzle seats. If you will remove the raised area the SR45 will slide in and out just fine....the riased area was to make the SR40 fit snuggly and when reloved the extra length of he SR45 fits.
