I know the SR1911 grips fit the 22/45, but they have cut outs on the right grip for magazine release clearance. Does this cutout line up with the release button on the 22/45? I know the 22/45 grip doesnt have a cutout, and isnt needed, but if I put fancy SR1911 grips on my 22/45, I want it to look good, not hokey. Anybody have pictures of the RIGHT SIDE SR1911 grip on their 22/45? Thanks.
Wait and now I read your post again and realize like an idiot you asked for the 1911 grips on a 22/45 ...WOW i feel stupid. Ill get you a few pics here in a few.
Thank you for taking the time to do that. I am trying to see if the cutout for the magazine release button on the 1911 grip, lines up with the magazine release button on the right side of the 22/45 frame. It looks like the release button is below the cutout on the grip. I cant tell if its the angle you took the photo at, or is it really below the cutout in the grip...? Again...Thx
3rd time is a charm. The bolt stop "thumb stud" is certainly a problem as its movement is being impeded by the grip. On the other side of the pistol the mag release cut out on the grip and the mag release are not lined up. This does not make a difference as there is plenty of clearance for the mag release to be manipulated.
