I prefer Speedloaders when I CC a revolver...typically, I just throw one in a pocket somewhere. However, I do have a few of the 'Ammo Wallets' and carry one in my off-side rear pocket, opposite my wallet, so as to have a few extra rounds available.

I've found that rounds slip out of the speed strips, especially in a pocket, rendering it 'un-reliable' from my perspective! Just my experience!

When I carry speed strips I put them in my old first aid pouch from my Sam Brown belt. When I carry speed loaders, I just wear a loader pouch with two loaders under my outer shirt behind my revolver.

Your advice/perspective on the rounds falling out of the speedstips greatly appreciated. I haven't thought of that or read it as a concern yet. All I keep reading about is how much lighter they are for summer carry.

I want to thank you too for your info. I keep reading about carrying your ammo on your off side. However, it makes sense to me to carry speedloaders behind your revolver for quicker, smoother reloading. For me, loading a revolver is completely different mindset & motions compared to reloading a mag into the pistols I practice with.

I carry a speed strip in a leather holder made for holding a six round 38spcl/357 speed strip from rkbaholsters.com

The rounds stay in the speed strip and are easily accessible.

Check out these guys for a couple answers to your question and ones that I've gone with.

Most Versatile Ammo Pouch

Speed Loader Pouch

Simply Rugged is a quality shop with quick service to boot. These two choices should fill your needs quite handley. Smithy.

A speed strip fits real well in the "watch pocket" of your blue jeans.

I carry the speed strips in my watch pocket or change pocket whichever you prefer to call it. A lot of the time I wear shorts or pants with cargo pockets and that's where I prefer to carry them, never had a problem with them falling out in either place.

If you have a lot to carry you might consider a Tactical Vest.

I have the speedloader pouches that ride over the inside and outside of the belt.

That's what I listed above and they're called the Split Six, three in and three out. Works like a champ and Simply Rugged makes some good ones. Smithy.

Not the best idea for concealed carry. To a bad guy, sometimes a vest full of pockets just says, "Shoot me first".

I just slip my Speed Strips behind the Nemesis holster in my pocket.

Yeah, those vests are a bad idea..........and they are known as the "shoot me" vests.

Just like fanny packs are becoming, since they are completely out of style, they pretty much scream "I have a gun........."

My Dad bought a Shoot Me vest, and I was like No, you're never using that..........

I carry the strips in my pocket, they are much handier than speed loaders and with some practice, I can reload my SP101 very quickly. I figure if I've already fired the 5 rounds in my SP, then hopefully I'm behind cover or at least enough out of danger to take the 3-5 seconds it takes to reload with the speed strips.
