I actually like the aftermarket grip, however it is your gun and have to decide which fits your hand better.

I see a trend here ;^)

I agree, I am disappointed in the custom grips and I will likely return them to nice gentleman in Thailand..........if I can figure out how to do so.

I agree, I like the aftermarket ones more if you want fingergrooves.

Do not get rid of the originals though, they are still beautiful too.

tglazie is an unknown quantity at this point
The ones that are the most comfortable and effective for you. Unless you plan to mount the gun under glass as a showpiece.

I like the original grips, mostly because they have the Ruger emblem. In fact I am wondering about grips because I added a magwell this week - the grips look a bit funny now with beveled edge where meets magwell.

Side note - magwell is great for match shooting, should have added it sooner. I also like the arch against my hand:

Deffinately like the original ones better. The other ones just dont say 1911 quite the same.
