Does anyone have a good source for MKII mags? I would like to add a few more. At one time there were good after market mags. I know Midway and others have factory mags, but does anyone have any experience with other manufacturers?

I believe that Midway from time time have them on sale for $16-$18, keep an eye out for this sale.

The Ruger .22 magazines are about the least expensive magazines on the market. I think the MK III and the 22/45 mags are about the same price - $18-19.
I have 10 mags for my MK III Target and will soon be buying a 22/45. I sure wished they used the same mags.

MKIII mags also work, so keep an eye out for them as well.

The Ruger Store has them, but they are $25.95. Mark-II-Blued-Magazine-10-Shot-Sturm, Ruger & Co., Inc.
I see them at Gander and Sportsman's Warehouse, for a dollar or two less.

ManVentureOutpost has the Mecgar Mark II magazines for $13. This magazine is the equal of the Ruger factory magazine. Mecgar is the original supplier for many Ruger magazines. When you buy a new Ruger firearm, Ruger makes the gun, Mecgar makes the magazine. ManVentureOutpost is currently out of stock, but they get these magazines in all the time. You have to be fast, because at this price, they sell out in just a couple days. Keep watching. I have bought these from them before, and they are a good company. http://www.manventureoutpost.com/pro...-Std-Blue.html |

My sister was at Academy today and texted me to say that they had a Mecgar magazine for my Mark II would I like her to get it for me. I said heck yeah...lol. She got the last one they had and it was 19.99. So Academy might be a place to check for these magazines for those looking.

I knew that - obviously - the Mark II mags wouldn't work in the Mark III, but I never bothered to check the other way 'round. I'll have to give it a try sometime.
