| Pancake Holster for Super Redhawk Alaskan
I just got a Super Redhawk alaskan .44 Now the fun comes, finding a good holster. It seems not many places carry holsters for large frame revolvers. Does anyone have any sugestions for a leather pancake holster? Thanks

I have been looking for a holster for the same gun. I have pretty much decided on a Diamond D Leahter UCR holster for the Alaskan

I know where you can find some nice belt holsters for the Alaskan but sorry none are of the pancake design.

| Here's a leather holster I custom made for friend of mine for his 480 Raging Bull...and yes, he actually carries it sometimes. |

Checkout simply rugged... they might have what you are looking for. I have two of their holsters and like 'em. One pancake for my .44Spec Bulldog and another belt holster for my 5 1/2" BHs. Simply Rugged Store |

I bought the Ruger hip holster from Rugers website for mine. Works great and nicely made but I am not trying to conceal.

I know a fellow out of MT that makes a nice hip holster for the Alaskan. He makes them so they ride high and tight but don't think they would be concealable except in winter with heavy clothing.
Here are 2 he made for me. You can contact him at trailmaster@bresnan.net |
