Vote Your Answer!! Original Factory Grips vs. Custom Hogue Grips

Hey all,
This doesnt only apply for a gp100, Im just using it for an example..
I like the hogue rubber grip that comes with this weapon, but I see alot of people restore this weapon by placing the classic rubber/ wood grip. What is your preference?? Remember this can be any weapon.

SP and GP (full or compact) - i prefer the old Lett grips over the Hogues.

however, on the LCR i prefer the standard Hogue Tamers over the boot grip.

my gp100 has the rubber/wood Lett grips and I love them. they look awesome and they provide plenty of grip when you need it. they are dang near perfect IMO.

Hogues, have them in one form or another on almost every handgun I own, including the SP. (and the GP if wood Hogues count)

On a more tame gun, whichever feels better for you. On my SRH 454 I wouldn't recommend not having/putting some Hogue tamers on it.

I love Hogue Grips on P-series guns, but I hated the way they felt on my GP's/Alaskan. They were replaced with the proper 'old style' grips after their first range visits.

I prefer the lett grips to rubber hogues. My SP and GP both wear the lett's with altamont bonded ivory inserts. My SRH has lett's with the factory laminate green inserts. I prefer to shoot pretty guns so most of my other guns wear wood if possible.
I voted factory but really only in reguard to GP/SP lett factorys

Depends on the gun and your style. Either works.

I prefer the lett grips in regard to the gp100 as far as looks and as well i have an extremely high choke when shooting revolvers in general to better handle the recoil and to gain better control (thanks Jerry M.) and the hogue has my hand sitting a bit low when im comfortably gripping the firearm putting me at an angle as if i were to shoot a semi-auto and when i adjust the bottom finger groove prohibits my pinky from seating comfortably

so all in all of coures i voted factory (for the old factory lett's)

I voted Hogue because I installed Beretta licensed Hogue wrap-around grips on both my Beretta guns.

Where is none of the above/something different?

I didn't vote, but would have if there was a Pachmayr choice!
