Crimson Trace LG-449 on mine. I like it because I can turn it on and off depending on how tightly I grip with my middle finger.

Ah, the wonder of the internet and google searches. Doing a google search using "red vs. green laser" revealed several good hits, including this one:

Understanding Green Laser Sights :: Crimson Trace

That speak about the differences between green and red laser sights.

If I was going to put a laser on my SR9c, I would prefer the slim design of the Crimson Trace Laser Guard. I have two other Laser Guards on a Ruger LCP and a Taurus 709. Good product and I like the design and the switch placement. Though, a conventional on/off switch would be an added plus. The green laser sight systems I have seen are too big, bulky, and expensive for my liking. Maybe that will change as technology improves.

I am very new to this whole laser thing. Firstly, it appears that the Crimson Trace company has a stellar reputation. The LG-449 looks ideal, since apparently it mounts under the accessory rail in front of the trigger guard. Does it allow you to keep the stock grips?

Sure looks like it, I think it would be a nice touch. My wife mentioned that she would like to have one when she gets her SR9c, but I'm not sure what holsters are available. I'll check it out a bit more.

The SR9c does not have removable grip plates. which is why it mounts where it does.

It looks like the green is better, but not on the market in less cumbersome models. i may wait till the smaller versions are out.

Ah. Great info, thanks. The CT laser + the SR9c looks like a really sharp combination. Ohh, out comes the pocketbook, I reckon.

What holster goes with this snazzy couple?

I think I remember a couple of holsters for the SR9C with the laser listed on the Ruger website. I tend to remember this because I ordered a Crossbreed snapslide for my SR9C and now I'm second guessing myself about ordering a holster until I'd thought the laser thing out better.
