Shouldnt matter what it is for gunwise though. But what are your feelings on material. Im a average 25 year old male (on the muscular side) and need a good IWB for carry everywhere.

I've found leather holsters from the Holster Store and kydex from Clinger to be priced right and built very well. These units are also comfortable to wear.

I personally like leather for my IWB holster.
For open carry of my semi-auto I like my Blackhawk Serpa.

I like the Crossbreed Supertuck. Hooks on to the belt in two spots which provides good support over a wider belt area.

Have tried all the hybrids and some leather 'tuckers'.

IMO, the absolute cream of the crop for quality and comfort (especially in hot weather) is Stealth Gear USA.

Costs more than others but well worth it (also have some Alien Gear which are pretty good and cheaper but still not in SGUSA league).

Truth I, use Uncle Mike's IWB more than any of my other holsters. I just like them because they are comfortable for me personally. When i'm carrying,Taurus ,605 357 Mag.85 UL .38 SPL., S&W,442-2.638-3 .38 SPL+P's.

I have two IWB carry holsters I really like. I have tried dozens. I carry my LC9s in a custom made John Jackson leather holster with a spare mag carrier. John is not real fast but the quality is second to none. I carry my SR9c in a N82 pro Kydex. It's a fairly big but very light holster and the gun rides high , tight to your body and yet never touches your body. It's extremely comfortable and has a great retention system. The gun will never fall out by accident - never!

Both are worth checking out in my opinion.

Good luck!

While I used the Crossbreed Supertuck for several years with good success, I switched over to the Don Hume single clip leather holsters (H715-M) a few years ago and like them a lot. very comfortable, conceal well and are relatively inexpensive. Good luck with your search.

I use and love my RDR holsters. I have one for my M&P 9, and M&P 45. I have another for my SR 1911. Wear them at 3 o'clock position strong side. Easy to put on easy to take off and it just works well for me.

I GOTTA use leather. Just something "wrong" about plastic holsters to me. That said...for a couple decades I was using Mitch Rosen almost exclusively but recently found RGrizzle. Wow! Just as nice and at that same level of quality!

I like the Remora. Inexpensive, well made, and stay where you put them. They also double as a storage pouch if you take off your pistol to go into a store,or something and leave it in your car.

An added benefit is that they are not model specific, and can fit a variety of handguns.
