so far aside from the choices at shop-ruger, and poor choices at ebay, I found altamontco.com... which are different variations of the finger grove grips at shop-ruger...

I have decided on getting the Altamont, Fingergroove super rosewood...
with just the plain beautiful grain, no detail.
$46- plus $6- shipping...

I'd take either if I want to dress up my Mk IV Target. As for shooting it, I'm fine with the stock grips.

I am looking at some genuine walnut grips for my MKIV from Eagle Grips. They're a little pricey at $79.95, but beautiful, and no checkering and they have a thumb rest for a right handed shooter. I asked if I could get Ruger medallions on them. The guy said they could do that-for $40 extra. Then there is also shipping. I would love to have them, but we're talking about somewhere in the neighborhood of $130.00. Just can't decide if I want to go that much. Am I right or wrong thinking?

I ordered some walnut grips from Eagle Grips. I decided to pass on the medallions. I like the fact that they are real wood and not laminate like the ones sold by Ruger. I have my fingers crossed that I'll like them as much as I think I will. I had walnut grips with a thumb rest on my MKII and really liked them.

First time on forums. Looking for R1911. Saw some here someplace, but cannot find them. They were full size wood and had the Ruger emblem carver into them...any help? Thanks.

Correction...grips for a SR1911 and someone had a picture of wooden full size with the Ruger logo. They appeared to be target grips. Do not know if these would fit in a Bianca holster? Thanks again
