Get a blackhawk Serpa! Holds it great. I open carry with mine, because I'm lucky enough to live in a Gold Star State!

Ross SOB. It is for a S&W M&P 40 but it fits good.

This is my SR9c and my Don Hume H715M W. C. holster. Cost is about $30. I have modified this IWB to achieve FBI butt-tilt forward and to get the handgun deeper into the waistband, lessening the amount of gun above belt-level.
This is an excellent fit of holster to gun. It also fits my Glock26 just as well. I have used this holster for several years. I like it; the clip is secure.

Here is a link to that holster, although note that the holster is NOT the FBI tilt as sold. H715-M W.C. [H715-M] - $30.20 : Don Hume Leathergoods, manufactures high quality leather and nylon goods. |

| Blackhawk Serpa another try
OK, I am thinking about giving the Blackhawk Serpa another try
even though they only make a SR9 version and not a SR9c one.
I've been open carrying since I have a bit of a wait until I get my CPL.
I'd feel more secure open carrying with a retention holster.
I am tempted to dremel off the extra inch or so.
Does anyone thinks this is possible without making it look horrible
or should I just suck it up and deal with it 'as is'?

I open carry with my blackhawk serpa. Honestly, I think the gun feels fine in the holster, and I've practiced defensive drawing of the gun from the holster probably 1000+ times and haven't had an issue yet. As for the rub on the bottom of the trigger guard, I don't think its the blackhawk holster. I think its from me keeping it in a cheap nylon holster and it rubbed a little bit. No big issue. Blackhawk serpa is the way to go!

SavageDetroit:
I purchased an SR9C a week ago (New) and the bottom of the trigger guard looks worn like yours does in your pic. I wonder if they came from the factory like that. Anyone else have same experience?

I would prefer it to sit just like this versus vertical.
And I do think the wear on the trigger guard is meant to be like that. In fact, the sr9 I checked out was just like it. It might be a little more rough (and possibly stronger) so when holstering it, it wouldn't wear too much at this location.

Has anyone tried out the leather inside-the-pants holsters that they have for these yet. I have seen them on amazon and ebay, but haven't been able to check one out in person yet. Wondering about the quality of the holsters.

Description has it for the SR9, made by TAGUA LEATHERS.
SR9c fits nicely, barrel almost makes it to the end, is ok on the fit n finish, but they sent the wrong color.....
I've also ordered a Town n Country from rgrizzleleather.com, made specifically for the SR9c. Should be awesome from looking at his website, although there's a wait for it to be built. Seemed like decent pricing for hand made in the US leather. Can't wait!
No affiliation with either seller other than being a customer.
