Centerpoint Red/Green Dot scope

Can someone tell me how to remove the battery cover to install the battery.

I know the manual says turn the red/green dot dial counter clockwise but I have twisted and twisted mine and it doesn't come off. Is there more to it than this?

goosehead, I'm not familiar with your exact scope but most have a battery cap that screws into the dial. Look for a "coin" or screwdriver slot on the end ... hold the dial and unscrew the cap using a quarter in the slot or a screwdriver if so equipped.

This would be a "swag" on my part; but, the knob on the left side of the scope (as you look at it from the rear) - if that is what you call the "red/green dial", it appears to have a "cap" on it with serrated edges - I think if you can grasp the serrated edges and turn it counter clockwise while holding the dial body with your other hand, you just may uncover the battery compartment.

Thanks for the replies, but I still cant get the cover off. It's going back to Wally World and if they can get the cover off I might keep it.
