Is the Hogue "Tamer" black rubber grip much fatter than the standard Hogue grip the revolver came with? I am looking for something a little fatter than stock.
If you want a huge grip for a GP try the Pachmayr Decelerator
I used one on this GP100 because I wear gloves when I shoot it and my gloved hands fit well on the grip. It feels like holding a big block of gel with bare hands.
I had the Tamer on my Alaskan and the regular Hogue on my GP. I prefer the Tamer over the standard due to the annoying palm swell on the back back of the grip that digs into my hand. The Tamer does not have this high spot. Much more comfortable IMO.
Pachmayr gripper grips I have on my S&W Model 66 K frame shooting .357 magnums it tames the recoil I also have a set of Hogues on my S&W K frame model 10 .38 special. I much prefer the Pachmayr gripper grip. It really isn't much difference in thickness. You still might give some thought if you want to dress up your gun to get the wood Hogues or Altamonts or Eagle grips the Eagle grips are very nice.
