H & R 922 revolver - ever worked on one?

Just picked up a nice H &R 922 22lr 6" revolver. Nice condition but gunked up inside w old oil, almost varnish like.

Cleaned it up as good as I can, but wondered if anyone knows how to work on the trigger assembly. It works and all but I would like to do more than flood the trigger group with gun blast until it ran clean and then spray new oil in there. (that helped a lot)

Were it mine, what you did would be enough. H&R parts aren't real easy to come by if something went airborne or got damaged. It's a good plinker, not a competition gun.

True, I just love to get in there and work on 'em. I just can not even find a good drawing.

Today's cleaning did bring it back to life.

Worked on one of those evil little shits a few years ago. Gun Parts Co. has some parts for it. But, thanks to me, not as many as they used to.

It is NOT as easy to put back together as an SP or GP. Trust me. There are some springs who have secret desires to become ballistic flying metal and plastic parts just waiting for the slightest reason to break.

Consider yourself warned.

Gee, sounds like my 1/2 hours work magically returned this 60 year old gem back to Factory Original Condition" without ever opening the trigger group.

Thanks both of you for giving me the insights on the insides. I'll go shoot it this weekend.
