Keep us posted on the results. I'd like to know what the problem is in case it happens to mine. Had mine for about a year now and put about 1500 rounds through it with no issues. Even after the custom bluing i had done to the grip frame, trigger, and hammer.

I contacted the seller who agreed to pay for half the cost of the repair.
I contacted Ruger who sent me a 2 day UPS label paid for so that was nice. I sent it out today and hopefully, I will have word back early next week. I will keep you guys posted.

Whatever Ruger CS determines, it will be fair.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I had the exact same scenario with an Old Model Single-Six, and Ruger fixed it for me at no charge . . . although this was quite a long time ago. I had to pay for shipping to the factory, but they returned it postage-paid. |

Well, I got word that it is being sent to me and should arrive on monday or tuesday. No explanation about what was wrong with it. Maybe it will come with some type of receipt that shows what they did. I will keep you guys informed.

There's usually some sort of "work order" sheet enclosed that will indicate what was done. |

Well, I got the gun back. No explanation about what was wrong with it. They replaced the firing pin, firing pin spring and trigger spring at no cost. I am now happy and will shoot it this saturday. :-)
