P90 magazine latch spring

The spring on the magazine latch of my P90 broke yesterday. I ordered a couple from Ruger last night; a 'couple' because I KNOW what'll happen when I mess with springs...
I have a general idea of how to replace it, but I failed to notice what hole in the latch the spring is supposed to be inserted. I just KNOW that I'll choose the wrong one, considering the difficulty of working in this confined area, and will curse the day and all of mankind if I have to do this more than once.
So. In order to release the magazine from the original left-side-of-the grip, which of the two holes in the latch should the spring go?

Well, since there was no replies about this, I assumed that no one has had to replace the latch spring on their P9x, and wondered if it was feasible to post my effort to do so.
I received 2 springs from Ruger on Tuesday, and immediately set to the task of driving myself crazy.
First of all, I was surprised that there was no how-tos posted on the 'net either in text or video, so I guess that made me feel "special". The question of which hole to place the spring took a back seat to how to actually insert the new spring into the gun. The spring is much longer than the distance between the latch and the recess that the spring resides, making for several failed attempts to insert the 'vertical' end of the spring into the latch hole at an angle. It only dawned on me, after I'd lost the first spring when it launched itself into that neverland where springs go, that that 'vertical' end had a bend in it for a reason. Rather than attempting to insert the spring into the latch in the same orientation that it sits when installed, I rotated it 180 degrees so that the coil was facing in the opposite direction, i.e. to the left. This proved to be the correct way to get the %#&(%!! thing in there. Once inserted into the hole, all one has to do is rotate the coil back to the right (fairly easy to do) and insert the hooked end of the spring into the tiny hole in the grip frame (not so easy to do). Beaming with satisfaction, I inserted a magazine, and was was immediately disappointed that it wouldn't lock into the frame. (Insert frustrated sigh here) It seems that I chose the wrong hole to insert the vertical spring end, and this wouldn't allow the latch to fully engage the notch in the magazine. So I had to do this all over again.
As a summary, I list the correct way to replace a mag latch spring as follows:
1) Get yourself a pair of long, thin needle-nose pliers - the back strap of the grip frame impedes easy access with 'normal' pliers. Oh - and a thin screwdriver for prying the hooked spring end into (and out of) the frame hole.
2) Insert the spring into the right-most hole in the latch (for right-hand release mode) with the coil of the spring facing to the left of the gun.
3) Rotate the spring 180 degrees with the screwdriver and hook/guide the spring into the hole in the frame.
4) Insert a magazine (hopefully empty) into the grip to check function. If it stays latched, success has befallen you.
5) Have a beer (or three) to celebrate your ingenuity and resolve.

Yay! 4 years later and finally, SOMEBODY has to replace a spring. I hope yours lasts a long time, Hondo, 'cause they ain't making them anymore.
I keep a roll of duct tape in my range bag for just such emergencies.

Not sure what to do. I really like this pistol and hopping to get it back up any running. Any advice would sure be appreciated.
