SP101 cylinder throat question

I purchased one of the 4 inch barreled SP101 revolvers. So far it has really surprised me as being a good shooter with just about everything I have put in it. My question is about the cylinder throat diameter which seems to be right between .357 and .358. I shoot cast bullets only and the majority of them are sized at .358 so far the revolver has done just fine. With that said I am seeing wider extreme spreads over the chronograph and vertical stringing at longer ranges. Would reaming the cylinder throats out to .358 help this pistol settle in and be more consistent?

You say some are sized? Does that mean some are not? That alone could be the answer to your problem.

Well, that's pretty much true, but vertical stringing on a 29oz revolver at long range is more likely due to minimal changes in grip and hand position.
