| Installing XS sight on LCR
My install went perfect, done & over in just a few minutes. My husband watched the video on youtube from xs sights. He said "its exactly to the point." He used the xs punch to remove the 1st pin, but used a better quality punch (craftsman) to drive in the new pin. Then he used xs punch to seat the new pin. The xs punch that came with the kit was slightly bent when finished with install. It bends very easy. I also bought a stainless steel pin from a bolt store to use instead of the one that came w/kit. I had read about how easy they can be mushroomed. I had just sat down with a cup of coffee, when my husband came back in from garage. Thats how fast it can be installed. (I thought something had gone wrong).

My IT dept (husband) is away on business so I dont know how to post it here properly, but here is the sight on YouTube. (maybe you can post it for me)
YouTube>Ruger LCR XS sight installation>by XS sight systems
Also, on the back of XS box that my sight came in, it says "Online Videos." They must have more videos on their own webpage.
I plan on posting a pic of my baby & accessories when my IT dept is back to help me.

Same here my punch that came with the sight was bent to the point where it is not usable any more but I got the job done with it. I only had one slip towards the end but really didn't scratch the sight that much. So far I love the sight but its still hard to aim at night without rear sights but I suppose at arms length it will be ok. Now I am looking at xs sights for more of my guns. Love these sights!

I use just a touch of (blue) Loktite as well...just prior to drilling the 1/16" hole thru the new sight base!

Yes we used Loktite too.
Crimson Trace for pm.
I'm thinking about cheating on my husband for the first time...I couldn't shoot using my new sight before my husband went away on business. (see Beeware story) Its all I can do to not go out back & test it out.

I used my Ruger discount & ordered from Ruger. It arrived in just a few days. My sight is Std Dot Tritium pin on front sight. I didn't want the big dot.

I'm pretty sure the big dot is not available for the LCR. Only the standard dot. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I got the Ruger LCR Std Dot Tritium Pin on front sight RP-0008N-4 as well. I watched the Installation Video a few times and am ready to install it. My sight came with the SUR-LOK mentioned in the video. Thanks for the feedback on your install. I'll follow up after my install.
