Help

My son-in-law has a P 345 that we can't remove the slide! We have tryed everything.
What started this was seeing if a 1911 mag would fit in the P 345.

It doesn't!

We didn't jam the mag into the gun. We just slid it in easy! But it caught the fine wire spring that is in the mag well. So we started to field strip the gun.

Nope!!!

Can't remove the slide for hell or high water! WTH.....

Are we missing something?

The slide racks back and forth, but it won't come off the frame! (yes we have removed the slide stop) and yes we have depressed the ejector!

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

If the 1911 mag is still in the gun try depressing the mag follower in the 1911 magazine and be certain that the slide isn't hanging up on the 1911 mag lips.

Can you try this: Take the 1911 mag apart by removing the mag plate, spring and follower. Then reach into the mag and depress the spring that may be caught in the hole for the 1911 mag catch. Hopefully, you can depress the spring enough to remove the mag and then the pistol should come apart normally.

I don' really know but I hope this works.

Mark

Added: If you can't get the mag plate off because it is blocked you may have to cut it off with a Dremel tool. The mags are much cheaper than the pistol.
