need P85 mk II advice.

I stripped a P85 down to the frame for a Duracoating and after reassembling I have a problem. The hammer does not lock to the rear when pulled to the rear. It seems to operate just fine in double action. I've been fiddling with it and notice that when the hammer is pulled back the ejector moves forward slightly. So if I pull the hammer back while holding the ejector in its correct place (I have the grips off so I can put my finger in through the magwell) the hammer will engage the sear and stay back.

I had a juggling act putting the ejector spring back in and I'm not sure the long end is resting in the correct place (there seems to be a projection on the sear assembly). Can anyone advise? Am I on the right track with the ejector spring? Am I simply seating it in the wrong place?

Never mind. The spring apparently contacts the frame behind the bulbous end of the hammer and trigger bar union. It works perfectly now. Wheeeeeee!

Actually Nick, I've been wrestling with it on and off for a few days. Took me a little to figure out that I didn't have the trigger bar seated correctly. So 3 or 4 days to sort it out makes me look kinda slow!
