Problem Inserting Hammer Pivot Pin on LC9

After field stripping the LC9 and removing the frame insert, I am experiencing difficulty reinserting the HAMMER PIVOT PIN during reassembly. Specifically, I have no problem getting the pin to pass through the frame insert, the blocker lever and the hammer. However, when the pin reaches the ejector housing on the opposite side, I can't seem to get the HAMMER PIVOT DETENT SPRING compressed sufficiently so that the MANUAL SAFETY DETENT PLUNGER will permit the pivot pin to seat fully into the ejector housing. Any help solving this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re LC9 Ejector re assembly question

Did you ever figure out how to fix it?

I too was trying to re insert my hammer and accidentally popped off the ejector and am very puzzled how to compress the hammer pivot detent spring. Part no 17, 15, in the LC9 Instruction Manual pg 33: The Ejector housing (15 on manual illustration) popped off when trying to insert hammer. Is there a video on how to put it back in, and compress the "hammer pivot detent spring" (17) and then re insert the hammer pivot pin (10)?

What you have to do is put the hammer pivot pin in the frame starting from the blocker lifter side. You also need a very small jeweler's flathead screw driver or something with a small narrow thin tip to get under the detent plunger. Get the ejector, spring and plunger back into the frame. Hold everything in place. While you push up the plunger with the tip of the small screwdriver push the hammer pin back in. Make sure you have the pin lined up correctly on the lifter side. It's a little tricky but the pin will go in after a few tries.
