changing rifle calibers

I have a Ruger #1B- 300 wby mag that I want to convert into a 7mm-300 wby mag.
I want to know if all I have to do is get a new custom barrel made for it in 7mm cal or do I have to have it rechambered as well.

Maybe I'm mis-reading the question but if you were to get a new barrel, you'd want to buy it chambered for the cartridge you want to shoot - the 7mm-300Wby. I wouldn't buy a 7mm bbl then re-cut the chamber - do it all at once and be done with it.
Who's doing the work?

Jack,
The chamber is part if the barrel. They will cut the chamber into the new barrel.
