Extra spring?

So I took my sp-101 apart. Done it a couple times but this time I came up with an extra part. In addition the hammer doesn't go all the way back and the cylinder will not rotate.

My wife took my digital camera so I took a couple pics using my webcam.

Can someone name this part and tell me how to get it back in my gun?

Thanks.

Well, there's an old saying...

Take a VW or Rochester carb apart then put it back together enough times you'll eventually wind up with two of them. Maybe we should append SP101's??

Seriously? I've worked on two carbs and I ended up taking them both in to the mechanic to be fixed.

So this is an improvement. I have zero intentions of attempting to "stone" this thing or do my own trigger job. I did order a 10 pound hammer spring and smooth the trigger edge with a dremel. I bet I post again when I screw up changing the spring-- soon as it gets here.

A man must know his limitations.

But you are learnin !!!

Try using the shank of a drill bit for the pin , then afterwards slide1out while inserting the other!!

Makes it alot easier than trying to hold a part in alignment to insert a little slippery pin !!!!
