SR1911 Trigger Break

Just an inquiry -

For an out of the box SR1911, does anyone know about at how many pounds of pull the trigger typically breaks/releases?

Which model? Usually run 6-9 lbs, some of which eases up as you break it in. But forget about the actual weight and shoot it for a while, then decide how you want the trigger to feel. Specific pull weight is far less important compared to the actual feel.

Thanks for the info. No plans on changing anything on the stock pistol. Mostlly just curious.

It's practice, practice, practice for me....

I boosted by CMD hammer and replaced the Ruger sear spring with a new Colt spring, measures 3-1/2# now. Boosting smoothed it and the new spring lightened it.

I put 1500 rounds through my SA 1911 and decided to drop in Wilson Ignition and a Beaver Tail. She's a joy to shoot now at 3 pounds of pull.
