Did your Beretta come with a threaded barrel or did you have to replace it? If I got a silencer, it would probably be for my 92fs and none of my guns have a threaded barrel.

I tried my 300MP .357 loads indoors for the first time today. It may be what those wanting attention are looking for. Loud and bright.

I definitely got the "what was THAT" when I shot a few 357 rounds last week. I don't shoot them much....they hurt my hand after a while, but they sure are fun.

My wife and I was riding our horses at a Missouri Wildlife Area this weekend , we had ridden past the shooting range at one point and no one was there. About a hour later I could hear some small arms shooting maybe .22's . Later we were quite a ways out you could barely hear a pop, pop, pop then there was a KABOOM !! then a few seconds later another KABOOM!!
I told my wife that's a big bore something. I had to take a shortcut trail to get back over to the range to see what it was. I had the wife hold my horse and I walked over turned out the guy had two big bores there. The one he was shooting was a Redhawk in 454 Casull with a 7.5 barrel , He ask if I wanted to put a couple down range !! Heck yeah !! Then he pulled out a S&W500 with a 4" barrel Man what a nice pair of guns !! That S&W500 is a handful to shoot ...

My S&W model 629 .44 Mag with a 3" barrel has a loud bark, especially if I run Rem 180 grain high velocity rounds through it. The muzzle flash is about the size of a basketball. My Desert Eagle .50AE is a good 'flash bang' grenade too. I also have a Ruger single action convertible that gives a sharp crack and flash using the .22 mag cylinder.

I approach shooting my .357 as a necessity. It's energizing for me when I"m alone on the range (always inside, by the way).
To enjoy disturbing others is simply wrong.
Period.

Period. | I just figure people shooting at a shooting range should expect to hear other caliber guns being fired and actually enjoy the opportunity to fire their guns while withstanding the crack of my .357. I know that's what I do when someone is shooting a cannon next to me.

When we were shooting handgun sillouette in production class, we loved it when the boys would come to the line with the .30 carbine Blackhawks |

I let my buddy take first crack at it and I'm standing back watching him shoot, as he fires the first shot the two guys in the lane to our right and the guy and his girlfriend on our left all four JUMP at the same time. Every time I take her to the range it turns heads. | Yeah... and that causes poor schmucks like me shooting our little snubbies and Elsie Pea's to miss our targets!
But it also gives us an excuse for our poor performance. |
