Question do you use the Ruger discount?

So, if you register your new gun on the Ruger website you get a discount code (20%) on shopruger for branded items etc.

I have not used my discount yet and am seeking ideas.

For what purchases have you used the discount?

Ive used it for a scope cover as well as mags. However Its a pain to use as you have to call the retail line to make our order.

Wow, how far we've come that actually having to dial and speak to a person is a "pain".

Does sound bad doesn't it? I had a few issues with their retail service that was my issue with making the call. However firearm customer service has always been top notch for me.

I've used it three times, got some mags, sights, a holster or two.

I usually run it up to $100 to get the maximum discount, which I'm sure is just what they hope you'll do. But it usually is for stuff I know I'll use.

Can't see a reason not to, unless you're just spending it on stuff you don't need.

I have used this discount two times now.
I used it get grips, speed loaders, magazines.

And I do not find it difficult to talk to a person on the phone.
Our newer generation hardly ever uses verbal communication any more.

Got a bipod for my new GSR. Very easy process. Called in on Friday, the bipod was delivered the following Thursday.

As long as you have your serial number, they can look it up for you, even if you lost the code. That's what I had to do.

I have purchased very nice Ruger/Triple K holsters and gun belts, extra magazines, t-shirts, and other memorabilia. Never found a problem with calling and actually talking to the representatives. I too max out the dollar amount to get the most of the discount. Their web site is very nice and easy to use.

Yes I used mine to buy both of the holsters they have for SP101, couldn't deside, and still like both.

I thought there was also a time limit for the discount ... something like 90 or 120 days. Is that right?

I inadvertently let mine expire.
