My 2 latest Rugers for me

Hi guy, been a long time since i posted, but i had to come by here and brag a little bit

About a month ago now, My long search for Ruger PC9GR came to a end.

For kicks, i threw a wanted to buy ad on armslist.com for a Ruger pc9. After 2 or 3 weeks of no response, i get a email from a guy that says he has one.

I share a few emails from him and sure enough. He sent me pics of a brand new (unfired) Ruger PC9GR!!!

I couldnt believe it, to find one is tough, to fine one new, unfired is like winning a small lottery. Anyway, I send him a email back and say "im really interested, but what comes with it and how much?"

Expecting to pay big money for this rifle. He replies back with

"Gun comes with 3 mags, soft case, bushnell red dot scope, 2 sets of scope rings" Ill take 600 bucks for everything"

Well believe it or not, i got him down to 550 cash and i walked away with what i consider a unicorn gun. They are hard to find, especially unfired, for less than 700ish dollars.

550 for everything!!!! i jumped on it so fast. I took the gun apart, cleaned and oiled it, and it shoots like a dream. I wasnt a fan of the red dot scope on there, but its growing on me. Its nice i can pull up the gun to my shoulder, put the red dot on what i want to hit!!

But that leads me into my next purchase (last night 10/11/16) Im sure you all know what it is. Having a Ruger PC9, of course you need to find the side arm to match right

After a few weeks of searching for a blued p89 (i dont care for the stainless) I found a 1995 Ruger p89 da/sa with decocker for sale locally to me.

He started out asking 375 for it....which is way to much for me. He lowered it to 350 and still had no interest. I emailed him a few times and he said 300 was as low as he would go.

I told him, 300 is fair, but going rate for a blued version is around 250-275ish ....300 is not "high" but its more than i wanted to pay

He bumped his ad again early this week, and sent him a email and told him i got 250 cash for you, and i can meet you tonight....and this is my final offer on your gun

He responds with "deal"

So i picked up a p89 blued version last night. It was shot and never cleaned, This thing had so much build up of dust, dirt, gun powder etc....it was the dirtiest gun i have ever seen

Knowing its was the ak47 of handguns, i knew it would work no matter what
I got it home, shot a mag thru it and it was perfect. Extremely accurate and soft recoil.

I cleaned it, oiled it, and now it looks brand new (almost) For 250 dollars, it was money well spent. It came with the original hardcase, paperwork, and 2 mags (making 5 total for the pair)

This will be my beater gun. I ordered a uncle mikes paddle holster for it this morning. I plan on carrying this gun with me on my hikes, or doing yard work. I dont care if it gets scratched or dinged. Its not perfect now, no reason to baby it. It will be cleaned on occasion....but i think it will still outlast me!!!!

sorry for the long story, i had to brag a little.....

Now im off to find a Ruger 96/44. Wish me luck!!

Nice finds! I'd like to try a PC9. Sounds like you got a great package.
