Blackhawk 357 convertible with 9mm cylinder. Compatible with 3 calibers and is very tough and accurate. Ammo doesn't weight a ton and has plenty of knock down power.

My 22/45 5.5 inch Bull Barrel. I can place the bullet where I want it at 60yds (length of my backyard range). I have hunted small game with it and it is the closest handgun I have to a rifle.

Ok everyone, anarchy has just occurred and there is no government body to restore order any time soon at all. Youve got to put your whole life in a backpack and get out of town and you can only bring ONE of your guns with you...what is it going to be?

Rules:
1. Bunkering in your house with all your guns isnt allowed (that would ruin the fun of the questionnaire LOL)
2. It has to be a HANDGUN...you can talk about a rifle that you WOULD bring, but it wont count so your handgun choice has to be assuming you have no rifle
3. You will have sufficient ammo to last you through the entire span of the chaos until order is eventually restored (even if in real life you dontů)

Ill go first...I choose my Ruger SP101 with a 3" barrel.

Why? Because a 357 mag should be enough to stop most of the threats i might encounter on 2-4 legs, as well as take some for food if necessary. Its a stainless steel revolver so the upkeep on it will be minimal/almost null. Its small enough i can easily lug it around without much trouble at all.

Lets hear it from yall

I will choose my ruger american pistol pro in 9mm and a TNW aero carbine to go with.

I would likely take my Single Six Convertible .22/.22WRM given the open ended time frame. I could take about 1,000 rounds pretty easily. The WRM will take care of most issues and it is very accurate.

It would have to be my FN 5.7X28, very light and lots of energy with holster assembly and my three 20rd Mags. but in all reality if it happened My SR762 would have to go with me.

my CZ p-07

I find it a weird choice for me in a way because I dont love 9mm and I dont particularly like plastic guns. I have a 1911 that I love and that I am most naturally accurate with and I have a 3"gp100 which when loaded with 125 gr magnum has a whole lot o *** behind it but thinking practically...

9mm will be the easiest to locate should you be out a while. I have trouble finding .357 at local gun shops so in the SHTF finding it would be even more difficult.

I have been in 2 emergency situations where getting from where I was to where I needed to be involved a walk of over 12 miles. Be honest .. if you aint the guy you were when you were at 27 that could be an issue.

I can carry more 9mm in a similar sized space in magazines than I can in 357 or 45.You would need three speed loaders to be about even with what I can carry in one mag. If the evacuation is something I have to do quickly and on foot I can grab 4 mags at 16 rounds each.

I go hiking in the AZ heat with my CZ and being polymer its light enough to not be an issue.

I dont know how long I will be out and in what conditions but my plastic gun should hold up to weather better.

My CZ is super accurate and durable.

You may have to conceal it at times and it is fairly easy to conceal

Now when I play imagination games... there is a CZ p-07 on my hip and the ruger in a tanker holster.

That's a tough one. Probably my SIG P229, .357 sig. I like the 20+1 rnd capacity of my Beretta, but the .357 sig is a much more powerful round that may come in handy especially when higher penetration may be necessary. The sig round would be more effective against certain wild animals & will easily penetrate sheet metal & windshields of vehicles if called for.
