I love the USA. We do not have freedom like that in NJ. NO open or concealed carry no 90 mph and oh well it is too sad.

It was 6:45 in Idaho and I was going down the highway doing 80 -speed limit was 70mph back in 73. Anyway a highway patrolman came up behind me real fast maybe 95 mph And I thought I was had. He passed me and waved at me so I figured I better wave back. I didn't have a helmet on. about 10 min later he was at a little shop. Out in the desert they call'm towns. There he was getting coffee. I guess he was in a hurry. Drove to west coast highway next week went to Georgia. I know what you mean

I get the same feeling when I'm down by the sea shore, or out in the desert and up in the high-sierra's!

*It's just too bad those D@mn politicians up in Sacramento screw everything up!!

Every July 4th because in my family July 4th is not only independence day it is also my grandpa's birthday and he was very proud of the fact that he was born on July 4th.

Don't worry, they got rid of the statute stating bars have to be at shoulder height of lower

And you clearly specified, there was no one out there but you and God. No troopers to pull you over, so why not enjoy? It was a beautiful weekend.

These little moments of God-given, good old American pleasures are getting fewer and farther between. Cherish them while you can.

I look back on things I used to do years ago and nobody thought twice about it. Now you got the nanny state pushing to outlaw everything from the motorcycle you drive to the extra helping of pie a la mode that you enjoyed. To say nothing of how many busy bodies would have a conniption fit about the open carry handgun on your hip.

Some tidbits from that article

the best policy is one that always encompasses observed human nature.

People do, in fact, act in a reasonable and responsible manner without constant government intervention.

The Montana experience solidifies the long held traffic engineering axioms:

people don’t automatically drive faster when the speed limit is raised;
speed limit signs will not automatically decrease accident rates nor increase safety;
highways with posted speed limits are not necessarily safer than highways without posted limits

Rock Springs Restaurant has the absolute best pies in the area. I prefer their Jack Daniels pecan myself. Always come home with one or two for the memories.

We have had the absolute best weather in the nation in the past month. Makes me wonder what type of monsoon we will have this summer.
