So I accidentally bought a Beretta

The other day I was cruising around gunbroker just to see what's on there. I look up Beretta CX4 Storms because I've always sorta wanted one. I decide to narrow it down to 45 because I don't have a 45 carbine. There are a few listed, usually starting at about $795 and up. Further down I see one that looks pretty good and listed as "mint" even though it states it is used. The current bid is $400 with a reserve that isn't met. I'm thinking that the reserve is set around $700 because that's what I would set it at. I decide to place a bid for $600 thinking I wouldn't be the high bidder nor meet the reserve.
Sure enough the reserve is met and I'm now the high bidder! Whoops! I had no real intention of buying that day but oh well. I got it for $485 which I think is a real steal. I'll post pics when I get it but here are some from the auction.

Wow, that is a good accident at a good price! I've had a CX4 in the back of my mind, but always hoped I'd find one for about $500. Looks like you pulled that off!

Any immediate plans to modify or SBR? Thread the muzzle perhaps?

i have a CX4 and love it, its the range weapon of choice between me and my boys - ours is a 9mm because i have it paired with a 92A1 for magazine sharing.

we have a TruGlo red dot on it and its a great match up, our max distance is 50 yds indoor... so i cant tell you how well it reaches out.

we've had it 1.5 years and probably have run over 2k rounds through it... i can not recall a ftf/fte or jam yet. it seems to run fine on the Federal 115/124 grain and Winchester 115 grain FMJ loads.

enjoy it, great price. i got mine for $750 NIB came with the documents and 3x 17 rd mags, i think...

Thanks. I figured I got a great deal on it.
My first thought was to thread the barrel, then sbr then back to just threading it with a barrel shroud. Haven't fully decided. Time will tell!

Congrats on a great deal!
I haven't tried gunbroker yet and don't know how the "reserve" works.
The auction pic looks like from a LGS wall.

Gunbroker works like any auction. The seller can set a reserve and start the opening bid lower. If the reserve isn't met the item doesn't sell and is usually relisted. Most of the time they don't put a reserve and just start the bidding for what they want to sell it for.
