Got one myself. It was made on contract for Syria, nowhere near as clean as yours though. I love the 8mm mauser cartridge.

Very nice, my Mausers are ones dad brought back from Austria. I still love to take them to the range. One is 8mm and the other is a sporter with set triggers reworked to 30-06.

Who knew???

I clicked on this because of the title, Yugo 48. I was wondering if the car company was making guns now. So, I googled it.

I bought a Czech M24/47 a couple of months ago, fearing that Hillary might win and make it impossible to get my make-believe K98. I didn't have the funds to buy one of the K98's before they disappeared from Mike's Mausers. I've never owned a Czech gun before, but my son-in-law swears by his CZ 9mm. I've also heard very good things about Czech make products. I'm very happy with it except the stock is made from a lighter colored wood than the K98's I've seen.

I don't remember who's in control of what in eastern Europe these days. I know that Czechoslovakia has been broken up in the post Soviet days. So I have no idea if the company that made/makes CZ's is in Yugoslavia or somewhere else. I'd heard that Skoda made German designed products under license during WWII. I also thought they were the makers of the CZ.

BTW - I just Googled Czechoslovakia and found out it's now the Czech Republic (more or less).
