Wave, I love the grips on the Talo. I also have a 686+ in 2.5". I was wondering if you knew where one could get those wood grips that come with the Talo model? Great pair...I must admit I'm a bit jealous

Nice pair of shooters. The short barrels are a blast. I have the one in the middle but it's not a Talo

Why yes - they come standard with every 686+ TALO purchased.......

Actually I don't know if they are available anyplace. I've seen the same question asked over on the S&W forum but I don't recall if anyone ever came up with a source. You might check back over there and see or post a thread and inquire.

Been a while since I've seen any of your photos HA. I miss them - you're good with a camera.

Wow, what great revolvers! I became a revolver fan several years ago after shooting a friends Ruger GP100. I now, several years later, own a standard 3" GP100, a Wiley Clapp GP100, A Ruger New Vaquero .45LC Bisley, a New Blackhawk .45 Convertible and a S&W 629 V-Comp Performance Center revolvers. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this 629 V-Comp

I agree - big bores + short barrels = big fun. That's a nice PC gun you have there.

The photos of other newer S&W models lets me point out a detail I like about these two TALO examples. The hammer and trigger on both the 686+ and 629 TALO have the classic case hardened finish. I don't know if they are really forged parts or just MIM parts that have been made to look forged but it is a nice detail and a nod back to the classic Smiths of the past. I wish the 686+ had the same partial shroud barrel as the 629 but then TALO didn't consult with me on the design.... Still a nice looking pair just the same.

I will check the S&W forum. Thanks for the compliment my friend. My family and I are in the process of moving to our new house so I haven't had time to take any new pictures, plus I need some new subjects
