That is exactly the type of .357 Ruger I want, with a 4" barrel and those grips. Where did you get them? I don't see those grips as an accessory on Ruger's website. I don't care for the finger groove Houge's and was considering an SP-101 instead.

Very nice, The original grips are the way I would like a GP100 to look if I had one.

I got them on Ebay, I just looked and the seller I got them from is sold out, but there are currently 2 other original grips running. I got mine for $45. If you dont want to go the ebay route, you can get the rubber grip and wood inserts from Altamont, and then source the aluminum locator and screw from Brownells or MidwayUSA

Yeah I became a Lett style grip convert about a month ago. They just feel right, shoot great, and I really like the look.

I found them new on Ebay for $35 free shipping, but was looking at the Altamont grips too.

Here's the GP100 with Altamont grips.

I too like the Lett style grips better. I even took the Hogues of my Alaskans and put the Lett style on them. They do soak up a lot of recoyle and look great as well. The rubber grip alone sells on Midway for a little over $8, the locator sells for around $2 and you can pick up the inserts on eBay or verious other places.

Here are a couple of mine that I've switched out.

.357 is a very powerful round too - IMO.
Your's looks great. I could look at GP photos all day.
"I could look at GP photos all day" Ha Ha! That's exactly what I've been doing today! Well, for about half the day so far! It's interesting to see all the mods people make to their GPs. I particularly enjoy seeing the grip options different owners prefer.

I love my GP 100. Most accurate pistol I have ever shot, and I love the heavy feel of it. Mine has a 6" barrel, and I have not yet replaced the grip, but I plan on it. Love your gun, congrates.

A friend of mine in Miami has the identical gun. It's one of his favorites (mine too!)

The only thing I have noticed is you have to keep the ejector rod area clean as the the cylinder binds up pretty good over 100 rds occasionally if anything gets under the star.

Take Care

If you handload and load light (and therefore dirtier shooting loads) the dirt from the reloads can be an issue at way less than 100 rounds...I shoot popgun loads in my GP some of the time and even with Trail Boss powder I need to do some "chores" and cleaning at about 50 rounds or less...mine is a tight fitting GP and dirt can be an issue.

Congrats on your new Ruger GP! Good luck with it & happy shootin'

I have a blued, 4" with factory Hogue grips and I love it. Of all my firearms it is my "Main Gun", everyday, everywhere...

I worked over my trigger when I got it. No creep at all and the perfect weight in DA and SA. I changed the front sight to a fiber optic style. I love this thing. This one is a replacement for one that I had for twenty some years and foolishly sold. This one will not be sold.
