Zamak 3 Zamak - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Polymer Polymer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Steel Steel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

We're all used to seeing firearms made from polymers and steel but even though zamak has been used in firearms for many, many, years we still forget it's history.

Brewster thx for posting vids. I was going to do that tonight. They are entertaining at the very least. I think there are 4 Hi-Point ultimate test vids on youtube. My Big Mama is just for blasting in my backyard.

They actually do!...LOL

I see the carbine coming Mr Sightn's way. He has been checking them out for a long time. It never ends, hopefully.

Are the hammered in barrel obstructions getting blown out allowing them to continue testing it or do they drill them out?

For kicks I bought the Hi Point JHP 45. Small mom and pop shop gave me a deal on the pistol, extra mag, and ammo. 9mm sell out within a day or two. Only have 200 rounds Speer Lawman, Federal, and WWB through it so far and no problems. My SR40 was a different story at 120 rounds. Not going to be a fan-boy but certainly no buyers remorse either. It is what it is. The gun is heavy (53oz loaded? 8+1), fits me perfect with the Hogue Handall, and is fun to shoot with the peep site.

What confuses me is why do you need something called big mama to fire 9mm such a tiny bullet?

I don't like big butts or big grips, so shot your cordless drill yet?

Same here. New gun day is always a good day.

I admit that I've been fighting the urge to acquire a Hi-Point C9 because it engenders such polarizing opinions. I'm drawn to firearms that engender such negativity, but have been proven to just work.
