I LOVE those badger grips! I wish the GP100's grip was like that the SP101's

I can't decide between the regular grips or the boot grips and also any imput of why you chose the regular xs dot instead of the big dot sight.

Jim | I went with the regular Badger grip since I wasn't going to conceal this SP101 and I like having a place for my little finger to land on the grip. If I was going to carry it I would probably have gone with the boot grip. Or just kept the Hogue grip.
The XS standard dot was just my personal preference versus the big dot. Can't give you any argument as to why the standard is better than the big dot, I just liked the look of it. As I have gotten older and my eyes aren't as good as they used to be I need something else in place of black blades as a front sight and I really like the crisp white circle the XS has. The tritium is an added bonus to me.
