Not sure how you guys feel about the dentist, but I really hate having to go in twice a year to have them clean the same teeth I brush/clean 2 or 3 times a day. At least my hygienist is a hottie.
Nursing sore and abused gums from all the poking, prodding, scraping, and polishing that had just taken place, I took a short detour to the gun shop down the street. It's a decent store and you never know what you will find because they trade at shows all over the area on the weekends.
Minding my own business looking at the mountains of Glocks and Springfield XD variants clogging up the case, I noticed an unassuming revolver in their midst. Very nice, it was a SP101 in very good condition. Hey now....hold on a second....what's that little makers mark under the cylinder release? Oh my...it's ported. Better check the internet on my phone because I think I'm looking at a genuine Jack Weigand Custom SP101. Yep, that's his mark.
A brief chat with the store owner about box and paperwork yielded zero so I ask him if he knows who's mark that is on the gun. He's clueless. I so love when Glock Guys run gun stores.

I told him it was a Weigand .... blank stare from him. I told him I would take it .... his face lights up.
$359 out the door after taxes. Probably the best used gun purchase I've ever made.
Came home and did a bit more research and found out that Jack stopped taking new work in early 2000's. I wanted one of these back in the 90's when I first saw the package in a gun mag. Instead I opted for a S&W 65 with Magnaporting. So cool to actually have the real deal. I'm dropping the Hogue mono grip and replacing it with the Crimson Trace laser grips. Have them on my LCR and really like them. Perfect for CC. Laser grips were on sale for $170 delivered. It's been a great day.
Heck, I might not mind going to the dentist again in 6 months if I can get another deal like this one.
