Photo of my 5-Shot Revolvers

Here's a photo of my two 5-shot revolvers side by side for a little comparison. Bottom is SP101 and top is S&W XVR460. Put a 357 mag and a 460 S&W mag round in the shot too. (460 S&W mag has a 300 gr Hornady XTP. "Shooters may experience some perceived recoil...")

By the looks of them..by the time you pull all that barrel out of holster..the other guy might get off a shot..To each their own..Both are real nice guns..again personal preference I guess

You need to add an NAA .22 short "Mini" to the photo, another "5 shot"

I have an NAA Mini .22 LR and also want the Short model, just because, I guess........and then when I get my Magnum Research BFR 45-70, I'll have the micro size pop gun .22's and then the monster 45-70

Nice revolvers, like them all, even the ones that look like cannon's.

The 460XVR is actually pleasant to shoot. It is so large and heavy the perceived recoil is similar to 44 mag. The intention here is a hunting revolver - the "other guy" would be a hog or a deer, etc. When they start shooting back I'm going fishing! Ballistics have muzzle velocity at 2200 fps, 1715 at 100 yds (Hornady 200 gr FTX); S&W claims no holdover needed out to 100 yards. Checked a box of 44 mag I have handy (Winchester JSP, 240 gr) and muzzle velocity is 1180 fps, 1010 at 100yds with a -8.1 trajectory. I have shot it on a 100 yard rifle range and I did hit paper. Kinda hard to aim at the bullseye at 100 yards, open sights, no rest, etc. Versatile revolver too - shoots 454 Casull and 45 Colt in addition to 460 S&W M. It'll put a big grin on your face at the range!

It just struck me that there were similarities - SS finish, 5-round cylinder, black Hogue grip....

Hey rdp357 - my SP101 is your twin brother! I'm looking for a leather holster - what do you have pictured in your avatar?
