I own dozens of handguns, and have shot far more in my life. By far the best one I ever owned is my Colt Python. The D.A. trigger pull has almost a 'hydraulic' feel it's so smooth, and on single action, the trigger breaks like a fine glass rod. That gun will be with me when I'm braiding daisy roots!

I've owned, traded, and sold a few handguns. Of the ones I purchased myself, my favorite was a P95.

It was problem free. It was not ammo sensitive. The trigger self polished to perfection. Spot on accurate. Foolishly, I thought a different pistol would be better. "The P95 is only $300. A more expensive pistol has to be better". I traded it.

I purchased different SA/DA hammer fired handguns, and always compared them to my former P95. I told myself I'd get another one. I finally did.

I went for a flashier stainless model. It's currently at the Ruger Arizona mothership for diagnostic and repair. When it returns, it will be perfect.

Its hard to say, unlike others I have I don't have multiple guns that do the same thing. All my purchases have been well thought out and they are all my favorites

so here are my favorites in each category.

1. HD, woods carry, = S&W 686 .357
2. Revolver plinking, small game = Ruger SP 101 .22lr
3. Semi auto plinking = Browning buckmark .22lr
4. Large caliber target shooting = Kimber eclipse 1911 .45 acp

If I had to choose one it would have hard time deciding between my 686 and the sp 101 in .22lr.

1.

2.

3.

4.

My all-time favorite is a Ruger Super Blackhawk 10.5" .44 magnum which is also the first handgun I ever owned back in 1966.

My favorite to take to the range is my Desert Eagle 50AE.

My favorite carry gun is my Glock G20SF 10mm.

My favorite barbecue carry gun is my Dan Wesson Valor 1911 .45ACP.

I am with you. My KP89 (safety and decocker model) is the gun that has been with me since 1995 and I wouldnt be without it, even over my glorious new SR1911. I have spent way too many hours making that gun into an extension of my hand to pick any other. I run a P95 trigger in mine with some mild spring mods and polishing but otherwise its stock with the hogue wrap grip. I cant think of a more reliable, effective tool that I own or have used.

The good old reliable S&W model 10. Carried one for the biggest part of 40 years.
Now that I'm old and retired it's usually my Ruger SP101.

My favorite pistol is the last Para 1911 I purchased. I have a few, but this one was scored used from my LGS. They had gotten the gun in on trade, cleared it, inspected it, and had just put it in the used case 5 mins prior. I saw it while the wife and I were there to pick up an order, and bought it immediately. The gun was a "LNIB" as you could possibly get, appearing truly unfired. We got it for $650, less than HALF of what it would have cost new. I as a rule do not post pics of my guns, so here is one I pulled from the net:

This month's favorite PISTOL is my SA 1911 Loaded. It has been for a number of months. Past fav's have been a P234 and SIG P220 Elite.

This month's looser is my Para SlimHawg (still).

Next month? Who knows.
