Thanks! I was wondering if I need to add a drop of loctite or something to the front site screw, as I noticed the existing one had a touch of it on the threads and was hard to get loose.

I do like how the grips feel on it. I found out from Ruger that they may be offering those grips on their site before long due to a lot of interest in them. I got these for $60 shipped, so I figured that wasn't bad since the regular wooden grips they sell are $55 before shipping.

Use Blue Loctite on the front screw. It will help it stay put.

You did the REVERSE of what I did - I took the HIVIS SIGHTS OFF my MK IV HUNTER and replaced them with TARGET SIGHTS FRONT AND REAR . . You might also consider the VOLQUARTSEN TRIGGER KIT - it takes the trigger pull from Ruger standard 7+ pounds to 2 pounds and is light and crisp. I also replaced the flat grips with the fuller finger RUGER TARGET GRIPS. The pistol is AWESOME NOW . .

That looks nice! How do you like those grips? I considered getting a set to try out before finding the Competition grips. Might still get a set later.

I do like the darker color your grips have, too.

I do not have large hands and the feel of the larger TARGET GRIPS gives a very solid hold. I will have to take a picture holding the MK IV . . .

Thanks! I never can leave things alone, and always have to modify them a bit to make it different. Must be the graphic artist in me. The doctors say if they remove it, I'll die.

Here is how the Ruger MK IV Target Grips fit my hand - - very solid grip -

Next comes the new VOLQUARTSEN COMPETITION BOLT for the MK IV and that will be the last UPGRADE to my MK IV . . .
