My new custom 338 federal on LFAR

I shared this in the ar thread, but figured it would be enjoyed here as well. Its a custom fulton armory titan gen 2 upper and lower receiver set with a custom 20" hbar black hole weaponry barrel, black shot peened, 3 polygonal rifling and threaded 5/824. I was looking to build something more powerful than the 308's I have built. Looking forward to range testing this rifle this coming week. More power than the 7mm rem mag out to 400 yards, 160 grain to 225 grain bullets. All with less than 23 ft lbs of recoil energy, and 25 round max capacity. Specs available if requested.

Will do, I plan to take it out this week. I am curious to see what will perform better the lighter 160 grain, or heavier 225 grain. Something I do know is that the 338 rounds I loaded have the same amount of powder as my 30.06 loads, and more than my 308 wins. This should be a powerful round.

I was on the fence but after all the reading and researching, I decided to go ahead with the 338. Here is some interesting Information and comparisons.

Thanks, it was my 6th LFAR rifle I built, one 243win, (4) 308 wins, and the new 338 federal. Will give a review of its accuracy hopefully later this week.

I am hoping that it will speak with authority, it should given its makeup. I hope it proves accurate, I have done everything possible to make it so. As for unusual, I like pressing the boundarys and do things not normally seen. I have been eyeballing the nosler ar rifles lately, 22 nosler, 25 nosler, and larger. Waiting on ddelambre to finish his 22 nosler and give out the results. Anyways thanks for the praise, I guess the ar to me is what the revolvers are to you, our niche.
