Here's a few of my K's, I'm not much of a photographer but I figured I would go for a small group photo.
Except for the 2.5" 66, the other three are old cop guns. The only one that sees any real range time is the 10-5...... I added the T-grip and trigger shoe to the 6" 10-5, it was pretty much a beater with messed up internals when I got it, but I fixed it up and it's evolved into a nice shooter. I dropped in a new trigger and a semi-target hammer, worked out well the action is better than ever. The last owner left no part unfiled or unstoned, so I had to replace pretty much everything....... This is a fixed sight revolver that shoots like it thinks it's a Dan Wesson, not a Smith & Wesson! I must have got one with an exceptionally tight bore because this gun can shoot ragged holes at 25 yards.
The 64 is from 1978 and it's a "Bangor Punta" special, not made very well but it shoots OK. The cylinder gap comes in at an overly tight .002 and it starts to rub after 50 or so rounds. The DA pull is heavy and stagy, and very "Un-S&W like"..... It's not a "regular shooter", I don't have the heart to start filing on the forcing cone, so I just use it as a something to fire a few rounds through in the backyard once in a while. I overpaid for it, gave $400 for it because it looked hardly fired and most 64's I have seen are holster buffed, half shot out beaters.......now I see why it was hardly fired! It was probably something that sat in the arms room as a "backup" or "reject" piece at the PD that used it, the cop who was issued this gun probably turned it in when it starting locking up after a box of ammo and there it probably sat until they traded them all in for Glocks or something.
The 66 has seen very few rounds, I test fired it back in 2003 or so and it's more of a "serious business" carry gun than a shooter.
The 67-1 is also a tack driver, it's an ex-Dallas-Ft. Worth police gun. Very nice action, very accurate. I just don't shoot my Smiths much these days so it's more of a collector piece to represent the 67 in my collection.

You have a "very" nice collection of K Frames here. Especially like the 2 1/2" Model 19 in the first image.

I have a 15-3 that I want to have reblued and put some nice grips on it, maybe some ivory or bone. I carried one in the Air Force and never felt undergunned. It was very acucrate and reliable.
Another Idea I had was some nice walnut grips with a Tyler T-Grip.

That's still my favorite!
Everything just seems right to me for some reason.
Right barrel legnth, right finish, right front sight contour, right grips... |
