I've got 3, 45-70's one is the 1895 Marlin, that I've got some pretty hefty loads made up, the other is a Sharps, and the last one is a Springfield Trapdoor musket, the two latter use BP loads exclusively, and yes I do have quite a bit of loads made up using different types of lead (soft as well as hard, smokeless/black powder) depending on which ones I plan on shooting. All are labeled, so I don't have a problem blowing one of the BP guns up, which is definitely a problem.

these are more of a soft thump. that 405gr cast boolit is only moving about 900FPS at the muzzle.
