This target was in fact shot 50ft, one-handed bullseye stance, timed fire with Winchester 555 pack ammo. Last edited by marlinspike; 01-29-2010 at 04:10 PM. |

NastyNate, is that the Boyds Evolution Stock? How do you like that?

it was sweet, but with the 20" .920 steel barrel, became very off balance to shoot offhand. A lighter/shorter barrel would be my only recommendation. Awesome stock, got tons of compliments at the range.

I still have the stock 18.5" Barrel on my 10/22 and was thinking of asking for it for my B-Day. I liked it as an option because Boyds says (and confirmed on other review sites) it'll fit the 18.5" length factory barrel and the .920" bull barrels. What coloring is that on the laminate? How does it feel shooting? I wondered about the grip and finger reach. |

it does work for both types of barrels. finger reach and grip are great. Bench shooting is a little harder since the forend is so short. I think my is called Burchell color, got it finished on eBay for like $125. Honestly, It looked great but I shot my 10/22 100x more when it had a cheap Tasco red dot and a Tapco m4 style stock, way more fun to blast away with than target shoot.

'89 10/22 Carbine, set up as a Liberty Training Rifle. All stock internals, runs great! And a Mark III, with Hogue grips. Also stock internals, and runs great too! I got a cheapie red-dot to put on there and see if I like them before I lay out some serious $$$ on a nice one, like a Micro H-1. |

Is that a 10/22 in "Garand". That's cool. How does one do that? And does it ding when the clip is empty?
