Sig 1911 Scorpion Traditional. I switched out the Piranha G10 grips for smooth black G10's. Springfield stainless mil spec bone stock. Both function perfectly. I like the Sig as a modern reincarnation of the 1911 and I like the Springfield for it's basic purity. Both are great guns.

SR1911. Clark Custom Guns worked with a 3 1/2# trigger. Breaks like a glass rod.

Not a Ruger, but I do like it. S&W Performance Center 1911.

Still my favorite for a take it along 1911, our SA Mil Spec. Probably more my style than the fancy S&W.

Awards Showcase

Here's my Ruger SR1911 ... slightly modified to suit my needs for a combat configuration. I replaced the straight mainspring housing with a steel arched MSH, installed Wilson extended slide lock and thumb safety. I also installed a set of Pachmayer finger groove wrap around grips.

This gun looks a lot like a Ruger but if you look a bit closer, it's a Kimber Classic Target model. It has a fully adjustable rear sight with a higher front sight. It also has a match grade barrel and bushing. A great bullseye gun!
