It's black, evil looking and cool looking... Some even say a bit ugly...

But my Hi-Point Model 995 9mm semi-auto carbine is a hoot to shoot and very accurate, eats all kinds of ammo

Fun to tear down too...

I agree, I have always wanted the 7.62x51 version but man they are pricey. It has strong design cues from the kalashnikov rifles. Wood is definately the only way to go, simply beautiful.

I have a couple of ancient black-type-rifles...

An IMI Galil... in 5.56mm... with built-in bi-pod (with bottle opener), folding rear-stock and carry handle... and a wooden forearm. It is said that when you hold a rifle in the hot, 110 degree desert Sun, wood is good.... (<--that straight from the IDF forces). The only problem I see is that this small rifle with the machined-steel receiver and gas-piston... is really HEAVY. Nearly 9lbs without the mag and cartridges... and I have a 50 rd. factory magazine for it... shhheeeshhh...

An AR180... another Stoner design from 1963... this one made in 1975 by Sterling Armaments Company in the U.K....
Man, I love when a Galil and a Stoner show up. Those are awesome pieces in a collection. I especially like those Galils... Something about them.

Well, it's black and it's a rifle

I've since put it back to original

Glad I save the old parts.

Well, check another off the list, a friend gave me a really good deal (to good to pass up) on this yugo 59/66, all matching numbers, nice shiney bore, with the factory bayonet, night sights, grenade launcher and sight attachment. I have handled many, bet never owned one till now. It cleaned up well.

Not many FNs on here, so how about an imperial SLR (British L1A1) made in India? Not tactical but it is black. Excuse the No.4, I don't have a more recent one with only the SLR.

Only black rifles I own. Evil looking only if they are pointed at you! Mossberg 930 and Savage Axis II XP in .223.

Both very cool. I had a No. 4 a while back but foolishly sold it. It would punch dime sized holes at 50 yards.

Damn nice! Just bought this yesterday:

Put the scope on it just for the pictures. Next weekend, I'm going to pick up a set of MagPul BUIS, and a 25mm red dot.
