The 995 is my kind of "other" evil black gun. There was once an armslist posting near me but it wasn't black but something like cerakote desert sand.

As far as PMAGS go, I'm sure if this were designed more recently then it would accept them, but luckily steel GI mags are easy to find.
It is light and the ergonomics are great. FN really does (or did) their research.
I'll post a range report when I have one.
We have the same thoughts. If you put a standard folding rear, it wont work with the front. Yeah I remember the rear, it wasn't removable. You wilk enjoy it, I still remember when I took it for a test drive right after the came out. Its a shooter, and I am sure you will enjoy it. Try one of these sights, i use a few, the are small, and work great. I also have the fastfire, but like this better on a rifle.

they are fine for folks who like them and I most certainly support them being available .... not for me, just too old school I guess

Here's my "mall ninja " special. Hi-Point 4095TS perhaps a bit overdone, but it makes a decent picture.

Kinda interesting that the FN requires a low sight whereas we'reused to having to get high sights for ARs and AKs

Yeah, maybe its for better cheekweld, or slim lining. I have a set of troy low profile hk style folders, I have never tried to see if the rear will work with the fs2000 and the included front, but only downside the troy's only come as a set.

Thanks. The price was right. $496 on GB last year, LNIB and with an extra mag
Kind of weird looking, but it's very functional and light. And with a little work on the trigger will group pretty decent at 50.

Sounds like a decent price. If I didn't already have my PC carbines I would seek one out but I doubt I could ever find one that inexpensive.

Yeah, it surprised me there wasn't anything wrong with it.
And that included shipping. The barrel already being threaded was a no brainer.
