Henry Frontier Rifle

I know I said I wouldn't scope this Henry but I just had too. It will be later this week before I can take it to the range.

Cool scope, kind of a waste for a 22 would look better on one of my Winchesters, so tell me about this scope I like the frontier style stuff.

I know this is kind of off-topic, but what do you think of the Henry rifle? My son would love a .22 lever-action (birthday coming up soon) and I haven't been impressed by the Marlin 39A and I like the looks of the Henry more than the Browning.

Thanks,

Jim

Glad you asked. The Henry has one of the smoooooothest actions of any lever action I've ever used. I would highly recommend one.

Yes, with the octagon barrel it really looks great. It will fit on the round barrel but you need to drill and tap it. It mounts right up to the octagon barrel.

I too have a Henry 22 lever action, and I love it! The action is smooth and I've never had a problem with it. There's just something about a lever action, even if it's a 22.

That scope looks so "right" on the Henry. I put an old scope I've had since the 1970's on my Henry and it looks okay...
